Brighton 2-2 Chelsea

Just six days after their meeting in the FA Cup, Chelsea again are travelling to the Amex and will be looking to avenge their 2-1 loss as Brighton came from behind to advance to the 5th round.

It was not the highest quality game between the two sides last weekend, with just the 13 shots in total between the two sides despite not much rotation between the teams, but it was Brighton with the two pieces of real quality in the game, with Georginio Rutter's header in the first half and Kaoru Mitoma's second half winner.

Neither side are in great league form heading into this fixture, with Brighton losing their last two games, which included the 7-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in their last PL game, whilst Chelsea have two wins in their last eight PL games, which has them four points of Nottingham Forest in 3rd.

Leicester City 0-2 Arsenal

Whilst Arsenal are sitting 2nd in the table and unbeaten in 14 PL games, there is panic amongst Arsenal supporters with more injury trouble up front with fresh injuries to Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz leaves them with very few high quality options in attack.

Arsenal's defence and midfield remain in tact, which will likely allow them to dominate this game against 18th placed Leicester, but with their only attacking options being Leandro Trossard, Raheem Sterling and Ethan Nwaneri, it might be a struggle to breakdown a Leicester side that could sit deep and load the box knowing Arsenal don't have a penalty box threat.

While this sounds good, Ruud Van Nistelrooy's Leicester's side haven't exactly been resolute, conceding at least two goals in 9 of 11 PL games he's managed, and they are currently on a run of four straight home defeats, conceding 9 and scoring none.

Aston Villa 4-0 Ipswich Town

The match between these two sides at Portman Road this season was one of the few games this season where Ipswich has shown promise, especially the second half, but this promise has been very infrequent for Kieran McKenna's side, with their loss at home against Southampton a gut punch to their survival hopes.

Aston Villa have not been in the greatest PL form themselves, with Unai Emery's side without a win in their last three games, but their home form has been keeping them afloat in the race for Champions League, with Villa without a loss in their last 11 PL games at Villa Park.

Both teams will be hoping their outings in the FA Cup can carry over to the league, with Villa putting on an impressive display against Spurs, winning 2-1, with new signings Marcus Rashford and Marcos Asensio impressing off the bench, whilst Ipswich beat Coventry City 4-1 away from home with an impressive performance from Jack Clarke.

Fulham 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Both Fulham and Forest have become established PL teams since their joint promotions in 2022, and to their compliment, they have become teams that when PL teams are facing them in their upcoming match, they sigh in frustration as they know its going to be a hard fought match.

Forest have a good stronghold on their position in the top four, with a six point lead over Manchester City in 5th place and they'll be looking to be getting some points on the board ahead of upcoming fixtures against Newcastle United, Arsenal and Manchester City.

Fulham's recent home form has been quite poor, without a win in five games at home in the PL, drawing four and losing one, whilst also they are facing Forest, who have the second best away record in the PL this season.

Manchester City 1-3 Newcastle United

This is potentially a massive game in the battle for a Champions League place, with both sides sitting on 41 points and +13 goal difference with City ahead in the table with 48 goals scored compared to Newcastle's 42.

City's game vs Real Madrid has again put into questions on City's current ability, with more struggles defensively and in midfield with a lack of legs, which showed up late into the game and if there is any team you don't want to face when you struggle for energy in midfield is Newcastle, with their midfield three of Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes not only providing good on-ball qualities, but amongst the best off-ball qualities in the league.

City have played 11 games against teams in the top half this season and have only kept clean sheets in two of those games and it will be extra hard in this game, as Newcastle have not blanked in their last 12 PL games and have scored 11 goals in their last 4 PL away games.

Southampton 1-3 Bournemouth

With their win at Portman Road in their last PL outing, Southampton are now close to passing Derby's 11 point mark of the lowest PL points tally, which is the only motivation Southampton have left this season after being knocked out of the FA Cup by Burnley last weekend.

Southampton have been awful against teams in the top half this season, playing 11 games, drawing twice and losing 9, conceding 20 and scoring 8.

Bournemouth, up until their encounter with Liverpool had been 11 games unbeaten in the PL, their best ever run in the division, and they'll be looking to get all three points against the team at the bottom of the table as they are still in contention for a spot in the Champions League, as they are just three points behind Chelsea in 4th place.

West Ham 1-3 Brentford

Whilst there has been some promising showings for West Ham under Graham Potter, the results haven't been there with just the one win in his four PL games in charge and conceding 2 goals in 3 of 4 PL games.

With just three wins in their last twelve PL games, Brentford have fallen out of the battle for European spots they were in contention for earlier in the season, and whilst they have been struggling for victories, their past two PL wins have both come away from home at Selhurst Park and St Mary's.

Since Brentford's promotion to the PL in 2021, they have been quite successful against West Ham, playing the Irons 7 times, winning 5, drawing once and losing once, with Brentford scoring 14 goals and West Ham 8 in these battles.

Crystal Palace 2-0 Everton

Crystal Palace have become one of the most in-form teams in the PL as of late, winning 4, drawing once and losing once in their last six games, and they've only lost twice in their last 13 PL matches.

Along with Crystal Palace, under David Moyes, Everton have also been one of the in-form teams in the PL, with the returning Everton boss winning three, drawing one and losing one of his 5 PL games, which has moved the Toffees ten points clear of the relegation zone, which was the primary objective when Moyes was chosen to replace Sean Dyche.

Whilst Everton are in this great form, and put in a great performance in their 2-2 draw vs Liverpool in midweek, they put a lot of effort into that performance and their energy levels could be effected going into this game at Selhurst Park.

Liverpool 2-0 Wolves

With Liverpool now caught up in games played after their midweek Merseyside derby, they now know their lead at the top of the table is seven points, and they'll be relying on their home record against Wolves to maintain or extend their gap this weekend, with Liverpool winning all 6 of their PL outings against Wolves at Anfield since their PL return in 2018, with Wolves managing just one goal in these matchups.

Despite some struggles, Wolves under Vitor Pereira have seen improvement since his arrival, with the Portuguese manager taking them out of the relegation zone, with their defensive numbers much improved, conceding an average of 1.5 gaols per game compared to the 2.5 under Gary O'Neil whilst keeping 3 clean sheets in 8 matches, compared to just the one manged in their 16 matches prior to his arrival.

Spurs 2-2 Manchester United

Both Ruben Amorim and Ange Postecoglou need a performance to get their fanbase upbeat and believing again with the sides placed 13th and 14th in the league and fan morale at their lowest for both sides.

For the first time in 2025, Spurs have had a midweek break which was much needed for their side which was beaten down to the bones with the squad out on their feet in many of their recent games which resulted in whimpering performances and being knocked out of both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup without much of a fight.

The best results for Amorim as Untied boss have come away from Old Trafford, with wins against Arsenal and Manchester City, but for once they have to start better in games, with Amorim's side conceding first in 10 of their last 11 PL games.
