Bournemouth 1-1 Nottingham Forest

This is one of the most interesting matchups this weekend, with both sides massively outperforming what was expected of them this season and it will be interesting to see how these two fair against each other.

Bournemouth are coning of the back of one of their best performances of the season, going away to the red-hot Newcastle United, without a recognised striker, and putting the sword to them, winning 4-1 with a Justin Kluivert hattrick to extend their unbeaten tun in the PL to 10 games.

Forest are on an unbeaten run themselves, counting to 8 games, winning 7 of them, which has them 3rd in the league, level on points with Arsenal in 2nd, with Chris Wood in the form of his life, scoring 4 goals and assisting twice in his last four PL games, but after dealing with Alexander Isak so well last week, Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi will be confident to deal with him well.

Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 Everton

After 8 games without a win, Brighton are back to winning ways under Fabian Hurzeler, beating Ipswich Town and Manchester United away from home, putting them comfortably back into the top half of the table with Kaoru Mitoma's return to form a major key to this, scoring twice and assisting once in their last two games having blanked in his previous 7 PL games.

Everton will be a lot more confident coming into this game after their win against Spurs last week, where it wasn't just a smash and grab, but they put in a good performance, creating multiple chances and punishing Tottenham for opening up against them which is something they can do similar against Brighton who can leave themselves exposed at the back at times.

It will be an interesting matchup as Brighton are not in a good run at home, having not won at The Amex since their 2-1 comeback victory over Man City at the start of November, however, Everton haven't won away since a 2-0 win over Ipswich in mid-October.

Liverpool 4-0 Ipswich Town

Most fans entering Anfield his weekend will be expecting a hammering on Liverpool's side against Ipswich, with Liverpool comfortably at the top of the league, with a game in hand as well, and have a control in games that no other team has this season, with them having lost a game on xG just twice, both by 0.1 and 0.2, which is seriously impressive.

Ipswich on the other hand are struggling to adapt in the PL, having just won three games on xG this season, and after back-to-back home losses to Brighton and Man City, they might have lost a bit of the confidence which saw win against Chelsea and draw with Fulham and going to Anfield, it's not the fixture they wanted to bounce back from the heavy 6-0 defeat to Man City.

Southampton 0-3 Newcastle United

Despite Southampton's improvement in their last two games, leading against Man Utd for the majority of the game and scoring twice in the second half against Nottingham Forest, they were still unable to win.

Southampton have just won once this season, and their last five home games are astoundingly bad, scoring just 3 times and conceding 19.

Newcastle will be looking to bounce back after their very disappointing performance against Bournemouth, which stopped their 6 game winning streak and against Southampton, who they haven't lost against since 2020, it is the easiest opportunity they will get to get back to winning ways.

Wolves 0-2 Arsenal

After an impressive start to Vitor Pereira's reign at Wolves, winning twice and drawing once in his first three games, Wolves have struggled since, losing three on the bounce, but have been unlucky in their fixtures, matching up against Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Chelsea and now Arsenal, before going up against Aston Villa, Liverpool, Bournemouth and Fulham, making it imperative that Wolves getting some points on the board at some point during this streak.

Arsenal are looking to bounce back to winning ways after a poor performance against Aston Villa, where they threw away a two goal lead to draw 2-2, but despite that, they are still unbeaten in 11 PL games, but if they want to catch Liverpool at the top, it looks like they need to get maximum points from every game.

Manchester City 2-2 Chelsea

Despite a five game unbeaten streak in the PL, it looked like City might be back to nearer their normal standards, which has won them four PLs on the bounce, but their performance in the week against PSG showed they are still very inconsistent, which will give Chelsea hope they can get their first win over City since the 2021 Champions League Final.

City have been pretty dominant in this fixture, winning 8 of their last 10 games against Chelsea, drawing twice, scoring 18 goals and conceding just 5.

Chelsea got back to winning ways in their last fixture against Wolves, and they will need their ex-City contingent to get them a win in this top 4 battle, with Enzo Maresca out-doing his former manager and Cole Palmer producing the goods against his former team.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Brentford

After not winning and losing 5 times in their first 8 PL games this season, Palace under Oliver Glasner have only lost twice since in 14 games, which has them the opportunity to overtake Brentford if they get a result over their fellow Londoners.

Jean-Philippe Mateta is the man in-form for Palace, scoring 4 goals in his last 3 Premier League games, and will be confident to net against a Brentford side that have just won once away from home this season.

Brentford are in a bit of a rut right now, having won once in their last 7 games, with that win being an impressive 5-0 against Southampton, but the silver lining for Thomas Frank would be all of those games they failed to win were against teams in the top half and they are unbeaten against teams in the bottom half this season.

Tottenham 3-1 Leicester City

This is a battle of two of the most out of form teams in the PL, with Spurs without a win in 6, losing 5 and just one win in ten games, whilst Leicester in their worst form of the season, having lost their last 7 games.

This has to be the game Spurs get back to winning ways in the league, coming up against a Leicester side, who have lost their past 7 away games, but injuries will still be effecting Ange Postecogelu's selections, with now Dominic Solanke added to the their long list of defensive and midfield absentees.

Leicester under Van Nistelrooy have not looked good at all, especially defensively, giving up at least 2 goals in 8 of his 9 PL games in charge of the Foxes, which could scare them a bit, with Spurs boasting the 2nd best attack in the league.

Aston Villa 2-0 West Ham United

Having played just a couple of weeks ago in the FA Cup, Villa and West Ham are back at it against at Villa Park, with West Ham looking to get revenge over Villa for stopping their FA Cup efforts at the first hurdle.

Villa will always be confident at home, having not lost in their last 10 games at Villa Park in the PL, but despite that, they do seem to give away goals, having kept just three clean sheets in the league all season, a stat that would annoy Unai Emery, with Villa having the 8th worst defence in the PL this season

West Ham have struggled all season, and that hasn't changed under Graham Potter, having lost quite comprehensively at home to Crystal Palace last week and quite lucky to beat Fulham in their game before, o Potter would be hoping for a better showing from his side, but without a recognised striker, along with Jarrod Bowen missing, it will be a tough job at a tough place to travel to.

Fulham 2-0 Manchester United

You wouldn't have thought that coming into this fixture in January that Fulham would be 7 points ahead of Man Utd, but would only be in 10th place themselves, but that is the such the season Man Utd are having, sitting 13th in the league, 7 points off a spot to just be in the top half, let alone the 14 points between them and the top four.

Fulham have been one of the toughest sides to face for teams in the PL this season, with the adaptability to play different styles when needed, with quality to hold possession and create chances against teams with less quality than them, but also defend deep and counter with effectiveness against the teams with more quality.

Untied away from home in the PL this season have been pretty hopeless, having won just twice in 10 games, and their recent performances against Southampton and Brighton have created a blueprint of how to hurt Ruben Amorim's side with wingers holding their width high up the pitch, with United's centre-backs and wing-backs not knowing who should be picking them up, which has often led to free space for them to roam.
